About Dr Skinner
Dr Sandra Skinner is a specialist GP based in Agnes Water, Queensland. She conducts structured ADHD assessments for adults via telehealth, making specialist-level care accessible to patients across the state without the need for a psychiatrist referral.
Since Queensland’s reform in December 2025, qualified GPs can independently diagnose and prescribe stimulant medications for adult ADHD. Dr Skinner uses Velluto’s structured intake tools to collect your history, screening results, and observer reports before your first appointment. This means your consultation time is spent on clinical assessment rather than paperwork.
She worked as a psychiatry registrar at Townsville Hospital for 12 months in 2006 before relocating to Cape York and then Charters Towers to complete obligations for a rural health medical scholarship. She commenced specialising as a GP in 2007. In 2011 Sandra topped the state of Queensland in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship OSCE (viva) examination, and was awarded the Maureen Duke and Marian Sullivan Memorial Award.
