The Neurodivergence Wellbeing Conference (NWC26) runs 28-29 September 2026 at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, with a virtual attendance option.
It is organised by the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association (ANZMHA) and brings together clinicians, researchers, and advocates working across ADHD, autism, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Why it matters for GPs
Since December 2025, Queensland GPs with training in ADHD assessment have been able to diagnose and prescribe for adult ADHD without a psychiatrist referral. The clinical authority is there. The question is how to do it well with the time and tools available in a standard consult.
NWC26 is one of the few events where GPs working with ADHD patients will hear directly from psychologists, occupational therapists, and researchers who specialise in neurodivergent adults. The cross-disciplinary format fills gaps that GP-only conferences miss.

The admin problem conferences do not solve
Conferences cover the clinical knowledge. They do not cover what happens before the patient sits down.
For GPs assessing ADHD, the bottleneck is data collection: ASRS questionnaires, observer reports, childhood evidence, medication history. Doing this during a consult eats the appointment. Doing it on paper before the consult creates admin that reception staff were not hired for.
Velluto sends patients a structured pre-assessment on their phone. They complete scored questionnaires, upload childhood evidence, and provide observer contacts before they walk in. The GP receives a clinical summary formatted for Best Practice. The appointment becomes the assessment, not the data entry.
